scubadobadoo:I have never used the one inch strap, only the two incher, but some have said that the one inch strap can dig into the "boys" if ya know what I mean.
Well, I've heard it said ... but usually by people who've never used one.
I use a 1-inch strap for warm-water diving in a 3-mil wetsuit ... because it's a bit less "noticeable" than a 2-inch strap. And for the lighter, warm-water rig it's all I need.
I use a 2-inch strap for cold-water diving in a drysuit ... because it's generally more supportive in the heavier system I dive for cold water. And with a drysuit and heavy undergarment, there's more padding between me and the strap.
Neither will dig into the "boys" if you have it adjusted properly.
Choose the right tool for the appropriate job ...
