Hi,

I went out for my Fridays quick dive (2 mins drive). And there are so many critters to see...the one I really miss not being able to take a picture of, was a nice squid. (I'll be back). Water temp rising 55o F. Vis about 10.

Nice low tide depth no more than 15. Anyhow I managed to take a little sea horse...did not know they are on this area !

Those are some nice pics there especially that pipefish with the horse head. Now those came out nice. I'm sure you reduced there size to facilitate the web site. Keep up that work and you may end up with some magazine pics. That pipefish is a rare find.

Good work.

Nice shot of the seahorse, Ed! I believe that is a Lined Seahorse, and yes they are really rare around here but not unheard of. According to the references I have, they are generally found later in the summer when the water is at its warmest so finding one in May was really unusual.

Scubasarus.... I think you missed something.... look at the shots again. He has a shot of a Northern Pipefish (2nd picture) AND a shot of the seahorse (3rd picture). There are two different critters there.

Yup, learn something new....I had no idea they were around here. Great shots Ed!
