I had a chance to dive on the Oriskany on Nov 19th. It was my first time to the wreck and it was a big site to take in all at once. I stayed to the Pri-Fly bridge and above since it was my first time and there was quite a bit of current. Visibility was about 70ft and water temps were 73F. I only did the one dive due to some equipment issues but I look forward to a chance to dive her again someday. I've posted a couple of pictures in my photo album.

Hello, thanks for the report, sorry you had an equipment issue. Nice pics, I love the one with the cuda and the flag. I was there two weeks ago and there were three big cudas framing the flags. Would have been a great shot, but, me, unlike you, had no camera.
Thanks for the shots. Not sure why they like hanging out there, but they do. I have seen them several times. Maybe they are ghost from the past keeping a watch on there old ship.

Thnx for the report

We dove it on Sunday, the 23rd. Viz was 50 to 60; current was barely noticeable; andtemp averaged 72 on three computers.

Thanks for the update and pics. This was especially good for me as I have been very nervous about the water temps, but I think we will be fine even though we dive the 22nd. Also, this has convinced me to make the jump into a decent UW camera system.

We are planning two tanks, so wish us luck!

Wetcell - I look forward to hearing about your dives and seeing some pictures from your new UW camera system.
