I agree, no idea why you'd do this. Just unscrew the transmitter with a wrench and put the HP plug back in with an allen key.

Now, I saw pics of someone who added about six inches of hose between the first stage and the transmitter, that allowed them more flexibility than to just have the transmitter fastened to the first stage. That was cool.

Never heard of this. Why don't you leave it on the reg? If they made on of these, wouldn't it make your transmitter jut out too much and make it easier to snag or rip out?

I know of the quick disconnect for the cobra.

There is one for Aladin' transmitter. So, instead of screwing/unscrewing, changing o-rings often, packing with the rest of the gear, I would like to snap it off and put in the hard case along with computer. Quick disconnect doesn't have to be long. 1"-1.5".
