Instead of staying in Semporna and traveling 45min to 1 hour to the dive site, is better to stay at Bahrman's place who is offering a backpackers price.

He.........He ................ just kiding,

Actually I just came back from Sipadan, from Bahrman's place.

It all depends on what you wish to do....choices varies according to one's choice and preferences.

I would say value for money diving there whether you are talking about 5 star or down to rock bottom pricing. You comfort zone is the most important.

Dive in Layang Layang is highly not recommended. You may do your AOW w/o refresher as they dive school should have catered for this as part of your AOW course.

I reckoned ; prices of the course can be negotiated to package for your next few days accomodation and dives; whether the resorts or on the mainisland, stay the long house , resorts or back to mainland's hotel.

Seaventures is a good place to stay and dive but limited to staying on the rig without much to move about. In Mabul there are few other operators like SMART,Borneo Divers...etc as others may have mention may have it's own restrictions while mainland you can also find uncle chan's offices, north borneo divers, mataking office,scuba-junkie shop...etc; have plenty choices for food from 5 star to localized food costing less than USD 1. All it a matter of your choice. All of them can cover Mabul, Sipadan as well as Kalpalai.
