I think that he and his fiancé want more than a clean cabin, AC, a place to dry equipment, and maid service. If you are determined on Roatan, Infinity Bay is your answer. However, Grand Cayman, Costa Maya (Mexico)and a few offshore private islands in Belize would impress her. If you want to go all out look into Cayo Espanto, http://www.aprivateisland.com/index.html,off of Ambergris Caye, Belize! Wow! If you have to look at the price, then you can't afford it!

First, I can't thank any of you enough for the advice! The combined experience of the community is something my apparently limited google skills totally fails to match.

The general consensus is that we have been taken in by the advertising pitches of some of the resorts, and this is a very distinct possibility. You guys have sent us back to the drawing board, and I honestly do appreciate it. I started a thread a while back about honeymoon resorts around the world, and am thinking about starting a thread summarizing the advice and suggestions there for others to comment upon. Again, thank you all!!
