Frequently I see questions here regarding all kinds of things about preparing for a cavern or cave diving class, and all are good questions. Then I see some of the many answers.....

My advice to you is to pick up the telephone and call one of the several cave instructors who post on here and ask them the questions.

Call Rob Neto (Chipola Divers - Home), Rich Courtney (DiveCaves.com - Rich Courtney's Diving Blog and Training Information), Nick Leone(Home) or me. You can cut through the chase by making the phone call. I know all of these guys and also know they will not mind your call and will work hard to answer your questions.

Of course there are many other good cave instructors out there but these guys post here and you may be more familiar with them.

Thanks for that, Jim.

I was a bit confused myself when I start reading cavern divers giving recommendations for cave instructors. Seeing the end of the training program might give a better idea of whether or not the instructor really prepared you well.
