I get seasick, but probably not as badly as you and your buddy. There are places that have boat dives that tend to have pretty calm waters. They have short boat drives to the dive sites. And they come back to the dock during surface intervals. You might think of doing one of those. I know that it is not what you asked for. But it is a different way of accomplishing your objective.
 
There is good shore diving in Grand Cayman as well. I've heard (but can't verify from experience) that there are points of entry that are a reasonable surface swim to the wall.
 
Another vote for St. Croix. Cane Bay is excellent, but there are also other shore diving sites mentioned on shorediving.com. Be sure to dive the Frederiksted Pier. It has never disappointed me.
