# of dives
I am using a wireless Vytec with a PC kit. I am having problems with certain dives that does not clear itself from my Vytec and keeps uploading on to my PC over and over.

I upload my dives every day (which means two tanks per dive day and of course I follow the proper instructions as far as uploading goes)

Here is the problem explained in as much detail as I can. Dive 1-20 is uploaded and stored, no problems. Dive 21 - 28 is up loaded and stored. Then Dive 28 through 40 is also uploaded and stored (two dives at a time).

Dive 21 - 28 keeps loading itself repeatedly on to my PC every time I upload. Let's say I dove today and it's dive 41 and 42. When i upload my data, it will load dive dives 21-28 and also 41 and 42 (it skips all the dives between 29 and 40).

If I dive tomorrow, dives 43 and 44. It will upload dives 21-28 and then 43 and 44 (totally ignoring dives 29 - 42).

Anyone know what's the deal with this? I've simply deleted the extra 8 dives everytime I upload to keep my PC logbook acurate. But this is getting kind of silly.

I hope I was not too confusing trying to explain the problem.

Thanks in advance

I dive a Vytec (without transmitter) and have experienced this issue in the past.

My advice - dive more - should clear out the internal memory of the old dives. Otherwise back to Suunto for a service.

Don't delete the dives, but rather set them 'ignored'. eventually they will go away when the memory clears.

Because the Vytec holds 999 dives. I don't want to wait until that rolls around.

You won't have to wait that long, eventually your computer will flood or you will want a new one.

Spectre is right... set it to ignored not delete.

I just tried it and it seem to have worked. I will need to dive again just to make sure that the next dives will record properly and does not bring back the same problem.

I will post if I have further problems. Hopefully not. Thanks to Spectre and Chrpai.
