Question on Morrison Springs

Does anyone have any idea when Morrison Springs is going to be open again? I have been searching the web trying to find this out. Oh I am new to this Forum and have enjoyed it so far. I live in Pensacola Fl and have been diving about 2 years now. Have been to the keys for 4 beautiful days of diving and also Have been on the Big "O" 4 times, I really like diving Morrison Springs and are having withdraws from not being able to go.. Once again When is Morrisons springs opening?

Walton County has Sept 1st (labor day) listed as the "official" reopening day actually...

but like you, I wouldn't bet on it.

I spoke to someone in Commissioner Brannon's office last Thursday. She said that the scheduled opening date for Morrison Springs is Sept. 1st and that they are on schedule right now. Of course this could change. I will be at Vortex the weekend of the 20th and plan on diving Morrison too if it is open.

Word I got from a local Florida resident in email "morrison will re-open end of this month."
