question for UK divers

I am going on a 6 month trip to asia on 01/02/07 and need to insure my gear, can any of you help with a company that can help.

the best quote I have had is £157.50 for 6 months for my wife and I kit with a value of £3000

There are a few depending on exactly what you want. Is it diving insurance, travel insurance as well, what you want the kit insured for (loss/damage/theft) and so on so premiums will vary a lot.

"Buddy" is one company - http://www.buddyindepth.co.uk/

"Dive-master" is another - http://www.dive-master.net/

"Westfield" i used but theyve since changed name and i cant find the new name!

The issue you may have is the duration of 6 months will make it a lot more expensive than normal - i had the same issue this year. Quite a few of the above will allow bolt ons for extra days or weeks though but you may need to email for a quote.
