I am doing my DiveMaster program and since I do not have access to an instructor's manual at this time, I have a question concerning the swimming stamina tests. I know the distances involved but what are the times and points? I asked my instructor and he just smiles and says he knows and will tell me when I am done. Not acceptable to me. I like to know the performance standards so I can prepare to excel.

Any info would be apprecitaed.

PADI and thanks that's exactly what I needed.
Now I just have to be able to do it without dying.

How many points to pass?

15 points to pass.

I started trying to get in shape a couple months before hand. I was able to swim laps during lunch.

Good luck.

That is what I am doing. I'm just not that good at the what I call armpit breathing. Working on it and pacing will be the big key for me. Just did my Rescue Class this last weekend and I like your avatar saying. I felt like I was herding cats with my three victims. They kept wanting to slide away. I grabbed one by the bc and kept her in reach. She got me back though on the lost diver drill. We looked UNDER the platform twice and she was hanging on a rope above us, laughing. Payback will be fun.

Word of advice... don't eat the biggest greaseball c-store pizza you can stomach for lunch before you do your swims.:l:
