No, except that I had to scramble to check out of the hotel where I was staying very quickly. I had forgotten about the time change until about 30 mins prior to check out.

No. My gut feeling was that the whole thing was blown waaay out of proportion so I didn't really expect much to happen.

When you stay in a hotel, do the little signs that encourage you to re-use your towels make you feel guilty if you want fresh ones daily?
