Why do I dive?

An inate attraction to the water. I'm drawn to it like a pervert to clown porn! I can't resist a magazine with a picture of the ocean on the front, a show on t.v. about an animal, mineral or vegetable from the sea. Any kind of critter of the deep from the majestic pelagics to brightly colored reef dwellers! Sharks, Dolphin, Conch, Kelp, Coral, Wrecks. I love the taste of the salt water mixed with a juicy fresh orange on the ride back to the dock. I love how well I sleep after a day on the boat, and how well I dream the night before. I guess diving just puts you at the heart of the mystery that is the ocean.

Diving with reef sharks during a feed in Roatan.

When I was about 10 (maybe younger) in some shallow water (20 ft) with very little training off of Provo in Turks & Caicos searching for Conch & Lobster. Both of which were probably illegal, and or wrong on many levels I'm sure, but I was a kid and I didn't know any better. Despite that, it's still one of my favorite memories with my dad.
