H2Andy:
i wasn't even a Hershey bar in my father's back pocket

where were you the morning of January 28, 1986?

I was in my high school watching the Challenger explosion.

Where you the morning of Sept 11, 2001?

Wasn't born yet... only 367 more days until my birth.

where were you on the First day of February, in the one thousand nine hundred and eighty seventh year of our lord?

Well I really feel stupid on this one but I would have been in school.

What happened on February 1st, 1987?

Baltimoron's bday :dazzler1:

Wstein's question never got answered, so

"Where you the morning of Sept 11, 2001?

I was on the bus when I first found out.... the bus driver shouted back, "OH MY GOD!! A PLANE HIT THE TWIN TOWERS!" we just spent the whole day at school watching in a daze. The next month was a hard one for me.... I look very middle eastern. Lots of TSA stops, especially a hard time flying to Israel.... MANY shouts, "YOU F%^%^#$ TOWELHEAD!!! GET OUT OF OUR COUNTRY!!!" One even threw a punch at me....

have you ever had anything confiscated by the TSA?

Nothing ever confiscated, but on a recent trip my son's seabag was flagged and we had to pull everything out. Turns out his dress shoes and his bar of deodorant soap set off the machine.

Same question .......

Oh yeah. Nail clippers, pocket knife, machete, butane lighter, pocket propane torch, hunting knife, and a pair of fuzzy socks. (Ok, so more like just nail clippers and a pocket knife, but anyway)

next....

(oh, and btw, I either look foreign or the TSA likes to smell shoes, because they always want me to put my size 13 feet on a size 9 rug and remove them for inspections)

not yet, but i do get stopped everytime i carry my pelican laptop case, every time!!!!

cant think of a question so:
Next!

well I look middle eastern (well, that's beacuse I am!! hah! have you heard that one before?) and so I ALWAYS get stopped. always... though usually I am pretty good about it. I understand.... Israelis are usually pretty lenient about that sort.

but the most distressing thing I have lost before was not at the TSA checkpoint, it was at customs. Australian Customs.... :(

I was just coming from NZ, and of course I had to drop everything for the customs agent to search my bag. I didn't mind... me being the environmental guru I am, I know that Australia is getting invaded mercilessly by foreign species of plants and bacteria that it cannot defend itself against... so it's ok. Now, I had baught in Auckland these REALLY nice shoe laces for myself... they were green with black and white sheep on them... the really thick kind. I couldn't wait to put them on. but no! for reasons unknown to me, the man found my beloved shoelaces.... smiles, cocked his head a little, and said, "Oay'm sohrray, mayte... Oay'm gain to heev to confiscoate thise.." I never saw my little sheep again.

ever jumped a border before?

nope,
but there might be some good stories so
