Yeah, Bridge Day in WV... Been there many times... Oh, the stories I could tell... 
Wingsuit off of Everest? Wow... That'd be pretty incredible..
I don't think you'd need a sheddable re-entry vehicle... You'd just have to not be in orbit in the first place (and thus going some 16,000 mph).
If you were in space, stationary, and did the jump, you could get up to 600 or 700 or even 800 mph... But not 16,000... And thus not heat up like orbiting craft do when they reenter:
