What do you all do with your valuables (Wallets, car/house keys etc) When you are boat diving or on a live aboard? I have considered a small safe box or lock bag, just to help keep the honest honest, but was curious as to what clever things everyone else did.

Leave your valuables on shore and the car keys in your dive bag.

My wallet and cell phone go toward the bottom of my dry bag if I carry them at all (most of the time I leave them in the truck). I have an extra set of keys that I keep clipped off in my thigh pocket.

I use an I/D tag necklace for my car key, and lock everything valuable up in the car. You can get I/D tag necklaces in the plumbing dept of most hardware stores. They are also used in toilot reservoir connections, so they are easy to replace. Or you can get them at military surplus stores as well.

i have been on several live aboards and have never worried about it. i have always left everything out and so far nothing has come up missing. maybe one of these days i'll regret doing this but hopefully not.

Now I just usually do inland lakes and quarrys, but I leave my valuables in the trunk of my car (wallet, cell phone, etc). And I take my car key with me. I took a 3.5"-4" brass snap bolt and attached only a key ring and my car key to it,and i hook it on my upper right d-ring of my b/c. Ive heard of a few peoples vehicles getting robbed that were left unlocked,so this was my solution. Then again I only dive freshwater stuff, saltwater might corrode your key...

Diving dry, I leave them in my pocket.

Have never been on a live-aboard, but have to echo what the other divers say about day-long boat trips. Leave all the valuables (except for the tip you'll give the divemaster and crew) in your car.

Some use a drybox for car keys, but I find it simpler to just put them in my mask box, along with my glasses.
