I am new to underwater photography. I currently have a Canon A100IS (point & shoot) in an Ikelite housing that allows me to work all functions of camera underwater. I want to add a strobe. With the price of single strobe I will have about $800 in the unit all together. I can get a SeaLife DC1200 with single strobe for that amount, with accessories. Anyone give me opinions of which would be the better route, and some pros and cons of each? I don't get to dive every week because my job keeps me away from home alot, and money isn't part of the equation. Thanks for feedback in advance. If there is a better forum, or place for this question, that would be great info too! Capt. Dave

Capt. Dave,
get a universal strobe like the INON D-2000 and start to learn how to use it.
When the A100IS stop working or you just wanna have a better one,
get the best you can buy then and reuse the strobe.

Chris

Thanks for the input, I am definitely going to look into that. Sounds like good sense to me. Dave
