Just curious, my girlfriend is 5ft 4in. Could she use a standard size back plate or would she need a shorter one sold by one of the few manufacturers that sell more than one size? I'm living in Thailand and have my back plate in the US so haven't been able to check. Thanks!

Unless she is "short waisted" longer legs, shorter toros at 5'4" she would be a "medium" for DSS.

Our medium plates are a bit shorter than the typical one sizes fits all plates. Most one size plates are 15 1/2 ~ 15 3/4" tall and a DSS medium is 15 inches.

The DSS small is 13 1/8 tall and 5'2" ~ 5'3" is where we start to recommend a smaller plate.

For Halcyon plates, what is the height where you would start recommending a small plate vs. a reg plate?

My girlfriend is also 5'4" and dives a standard Halcyon plate with no problems.
