I have a Subgear XP-10 computer that has a bunch of pool dives on it that I would like to get rid of. Is there a way to reset the computer to get rid of individual dives that I don't want to keep in my log?

Thanks

I imagine if it is possible you would need to do it via IrDA interface using a computer. My friend owns one and I'm diving with him today ill have a play and get back to you this evening.

Just had a quick look at the manual, it wasn't very helpful.

No, you can't delete dives. As you add dives the oldest ones will disappear after 100 dives. I believe it holds 100 dives.

Why delete individual dives? Just transfer those dives you do want to your desktop computer, that's where you archive your dives (using a program like DivingLog), not on your XP10. As Beaverdivers noted, dives will be overwritten after a while.

Yes if you're selling the computer being able to do with a "clean slate" so to speak is nice, for some people it matters, for me not so much. It would take the average diver some time to over write the previous owners dives if they had clocked up a high number. I have a Suunto I'm selling and can and will wipe it prior to sale.

That's a whole different reason entirely. Ofcourse, when selling you'll want to provide your buyer with an as-clean-as-possible product. However, when asking if it's possible to delete individual dives, it seems more like a "I don't want non-dives to pollute my log."

My bad, I misread the OP and thought that's exactly why he wanted to do it. Need to read a little slower in the future. Cheers.

If you are buying a used dive computer, don't you want to know it's dive history?

I believe it makes it easier for me to sell knowing exactly how many dives a used piece of gear has logged. I truely wish I had such an easy way to keep track of how many dives/ hours regs. & B.C.'s had. I feel it would make the buying & selling of used gear more accountable.

To be honest I'd never looked at it that way, good point. Having said that I probably wouldn't buy a second hand computer anyway.
