Any diving or even snorkeling in that area? It looks like I'll be there a week with a larger group relaxing, and didn't know if there was any diving to be had for me and my son. :)

Save yourself the boat ride and drive to Uvita to Mad About Diving. It's a great husband and wife operation and it will be a much shorter boat ride to Cano Island. Good diving, but much different than the Caribbean. There's not the coral and sponge life, but lots of pelagics, sea turtles and sharks.
 
Oh THAT is what I want to hear mate! I would much prefer pelagics, sea turtles, and sharks to coral personally. I mean, coral is fine and all (bonaire x3), but I love watching actual animals...
