I'm a Fish!
Just curious, ever drive by a body of water and wonder what's down
there? Has anyone ever gained access to the quarry in Middletown over
at Old Henry Road and the Gene Snyder? I know it is located by an active
quarry probably operated by the state but I wonder each time I drive by
if anyone has ever dived this water?
How deep, anything down there?
Just curious........

The quarry on the Gene Snyder is teaming with longear sunfish, but I know of at least one fisherman who was arrested for trespassing after fishing there.

Addendum to question,

"Legal Access?"

Um, if it's the Quarry I'm thinking about... from what I understand the owner is either a diver or diver friendly because I've talked to people that spearfish in it. It's supposed to be pretty deep... (this is hearsay now, but) I've heard from different people anywhere between 80 ft and 100 ft. :confined:

Anyone know the owner? Would it be possible to setup a group of local
divers to explore this water? I would love to dispell my curiosity about this
site! I would have sworn it is state owned being located by an active quarry,
which I thought is operated by the highway department.
