Hi,

I'm trying to estimate average bottom temperatures for this area of Komodo during mid-August.

From my research it seems like it will be 23ºC in the Southern most part of the highlighted area, and 25ºC in the northern part.

Am I ~right?

should be warmer than that. i think it was 25c at wainilu in late august. and closer to 28c at the cauldron/crystal/castle. makassar was one of the chillier spots too.

it doesn't get to 23c till three sisters/pillarsteen and on south.

I found Makassar quite cool too last week of July. I had my 5mm so not "cold" but noticeably cooler at Makassar than other sites.

for the past 3 years i dived entral/north Komodo mid august, I've never had temps less than 25C, more like 27C on average. I didn't find Makasar that cold, I think the coldest (and probably the less interesting) was Police corner.
