getting ready for a trip to Roatan next Sunday. I decided I wanted to put the Air2 off my jacket type BCD on my Transpac/venture wing set up. I figured just pop the air 2 off the end on the flex hose and swap it to the Wing hose.

The Air2 has a cable connecting it to the valve so you can pull the hose to deflate and has a cable connecting it to the valve, the wing is just a hose. What does it take to swap them? the threads on the valves are not compatible so switching at the connection is not an option either.

Thanks in advance for your response.

You drive the pin out to disconnect the cable. Drive the min back in and install nothing to it

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand......done! thx DD! I owe you a Bohemia Obscura at The Thirsty Cougar in Cozumel!

Thanks again,
Jay

you also probably could have just swapped the whole inflator assembly over since most rigs use the same threads. Make sure the corrugated hose is long enough for you to actually breathe on it

The big name jacket guys tend to use propriatary fittings that are not compatible with the majority of wing manufacturer "standard" fitting.

A buddy changed his Air 2 from a Knighthawk to a Oxycheq wing and had to change out the entire dump valve because of the differences. Worked out fine in the end, except some noise from some BP/W owners who were not as open minded.

My wife insists on using her air2 on her wing so I bought the pull-dump elbow from DGE. It does make buoyancy control a bit easier when using the air2.

Back from 13 dives in Roatan. Worked fine. Threads were different so no swapping entire set up. Thanks again for the responses.
