I'm a Fish!
I have a 1" (or less) slit in my BCD, like a knife-tip puncture, and am wondering if/how it can be repaired--the bladder IS definitely punctured so at this point it does NOT hold any air. Not good, obviously.:(

This happens to be on a Seaquest Balance, and the slit is behind the neck area if one was wearing it.

What options are there in getting a good "patch" job? Will a dab of Aquaseal and a makeshift patch from rubber (or other material) be good enough if I can get that patch inside the bladder and have it seal from the inside...? Is there a "trick" in accomplishing this?

Curious as to what others have seen/done.

TIA,
HB

We patched a 1/2 inch long & wide "V" puncture in a Halcyon wing. We used the same material the wing is made from. Cut out a 2" diameter patch and use aquaseal to afix it to the outside only. Access to patch the inside was too limited with lots of opportunity for error. But we did inser a plastig bag in the inside of the wing in the area of the patch to avoid any unwanted attachments. It has lasted for about 2 years now.
