Scuba Diver 03,

I’m a bit up sound for a handy dive buddy but check out http://www.fifthd.com/facility.htm . Scroll down the left column for the fifth D buddy list. This is usually a very active dive list much closer to home.

Good luck,

Dave

... we just happen to be having a little get-together on August 3rd... there is a thread on it in the Non-Diving Related Stuff section. You are more then welcome to join us!:)

I dive in Puget Sound quite a bit ... in fact, since getting certified in March 2001 I've done over 500 dives here.

There are any number of ways to find dive buddies in this area ... the diving community is very active and outgoing in general.

You can try a dive club. The two largest "unaffilliated" clubs in the area are Marker Buoys and Moss Bay. You can find them at ...

http://www.markerbuoydiveclub.org/
http://www.mossbaydiveclub.org/

Both welcome new divers and are very active in terms of local diving.

Then there's local dive shops ... several have discussion boards you can participate in to find dive buddies. Someone already mentioned Fifth Dimension. Near Redmond there's also Bubbles Below in Woodinville http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BubblesBelow/ and Northwest Sports Divers in Kenmore http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TheAquaholics/

Finally, there's a discussion forum dedicated to Northwest diving at http://www.northwestdiver.com/forums/index.php

You can join any of these discussion groups easily and find dive local dive buddies pretty much anytime you want to go diving.

There's no lack of diving opportunities in this area ... nor any lack of ways to get connected with the local diving community.

Good luck ...

... Bob (Grateful Diver)
