Hello everyone. I'm new to ScubaBoard and would like to get some info on diving in Puerta Vallarta. I'll be staying in the
Nuevo Vallarta area during the first week of April. I have an
Advanced card and have been a certified diver for about twelve years. I live in Herndon, Virginia. Thank you.

I did PV in Sept of '01. Can't say I was particularly impressed. Did see seahorses on one dive. One boat trip out was in a small, and I mean small boat. The gear was hauled out in a second boat and you swam between the two to put on your BC. I don't remember a lot of sea life and my U/W video is very short, and it was four dives. Knowing what I know now, I would have opted for Cozumel instead. Shore life was not too remarkable, either. My traveling companions, who didn't dive, weren't very impressed.

Don't want to sound discouraging. I believe that any dive is better than not diving, so the trip shouldn't be a waste. Go, dive, enjoy.
