Hi All,

I am going on vacation to PV the first week of May. I have gone before in October and the water temp was comfy and the vis was ok.

Does anyone know what the temp/vis is in May?

Thanks,

Aug

I dove last year the last week of April and it was pretty warm. I am a warm water wuss, so I wore a full wet suit 3mm and a hood, I was fine. The DM was in a full suit too, his was 5mm I think. The SI was nice and warm. I can't remember the actual water temp (and I can't find my dive log). I do remember a lot of jellyfish around and a fair bit of particulate matter messing with the vis.

I've been to PV several times and dove most of the popular dives from a night dive near Los Arcos to a the deep dives at El Morrow. I definitely recommend the 5mm. I dive in Michigan and consider myself a hearty diver. Going warmer will maximize your bottom time. I dove with Vallarta Adventures and they entertain you well on your way to and from the dive sites. Every time I dove with them the DM's were biology gurus as well as excellent divers and hosts. First year their we used 3mm and most of the divers ion rental suits were cold. Even had to escort a young lady to the boat because she was shivering so bad. Next year they only used 5mm's. Have fun and ask for Sebastion.
