Puerto Vallarta Conditions

Im wondering if anyone can tell me what the conditions have been like in Puerto Vallarta. I am gonna be there in a few days and I don't want to bring my gear if it sucks .

Best time of the year in my opinion. Water is 83-84 degrees and clear. The only downside, if you don't like tropical rains, are the afternoon thunderstorms.

I was there last week and visibility was about 40 feet, water temperature was 85, pretty good diving.
