Puerto Moroles Dive shop

I got a good deal on a resort (Iberostar) south of Puerto Morelos and I am looking for recommendations regarding a dive shop in Puerto Morelos. I have heard about Dive In and the Wet Set but wonder if there are any others in the area.

I am interested in having some other choices beside the resort dive shop. I was also wondering if any one knew how to get a hold of a ADO bus schedule

In the Iberostar itself you have Dressel Divers. They are an ok dive outfit with multilingual instructors and are based on the beach at the front on the resort. They have direct access from there to the local deep and shallow dive sites as well as daily trips to Cozumel and the Cenotes. They are not really any different to the other shops you will find on the port and you will prob have to pay more in transport etc.

Autobuses ADO

Although it is in Spanish you can still use the timetable since the names of the destination and start point are the same in English! From PM you basically have a bus to Cancun or Playa Del Carmen stopping every 10mins during peak hours slowing to every hour late at night. Cost is about 20 pesos one way (2USD)

Thanks for the information. I probably will use Dressler just because it is easy and I will not have to pay the daily taxi costs. But I wanted to explore other options and have then as a back up.

Well im sure you will get the chance to visit PM and you can just walk round and talk to the staff. Its a small place and everyone is very friendly.

Have you been to Mexico before? And tried cozumel or the cenotes??? If no i would recomend bo of those over the local diving if you have the time and money. Again both can be arranged through Dressel with pick up and drop off from the hotel or a lot of other agencies offer Cozumel pick up and you can book your dives with one of the hundreds of dive shops of the island.

Will be having fun tonight, independance day tomorrow and my birthday today, and i have tomorrow off!

I have been to Cozumel 4 or so times and done the cenotes a couple of times too. All in we've been down in the Cozumel Cancun area for the last 10 yrs. I have dove with Dressel about 3 times. Still might try to catch a cenote this time too.

Hope you survive all of the fun. Sounds like a good time will be had.
