Hello all,

I broke the diffuser on my housing and when I called Olympus to get a replacement, they told me there was a flat fee of $130 to fix it even though the diffuser is worth about $10. It is also very easy to fix so I wanted to see if anyone had one they did not use.

Please let me know.

thanks

Layne

I would simply consider cutting a piece if light-diffuser plastic (say from a flouro light fitting) to the right size, drill four holes and attach. It's not rocket science - you just want something to soften and spread the flash. The only thing to be careful of is that it doesn't colour the light.

In the past I have used plastic from a white milk jug to replace lost diffusers. It's pliable, does the job, easy to work with and cheap!
