How do I get from 3442 psi to 232 bar in my HP tank? Using the conversion factor of 1 bar = 14.504 psi, it doesn't work out. If there's a temperature factor in there, can you help me with it?

Thanks,

Mark

OK That works out perfectly. 3442/14.504=237 bar at 70F, which is 21.1C or 294.11K.
Should equal 232 bar at 15C which is 288K.
So P1/T1=P2/T2 or 237/294.11=232/288.

Thanks!

PSI => Bar:
Multiply by 2/3 and shift the decimal point left one place.

3442*2/3 =>230 bar

Easy Integer Arithmetic you can do in your head, and close enough accuracy for Gov't Work. . .:wink:
