We're going to Provo in May and are trying to decide on a dive operator. We're considering Dive Provo and Caicos Adventures. Any feedback on either one?

Thanks!

I have used both and prefer Caicos Adventures. I think they are more laid back than Dive Provo but Dive Provo is a great op too. I dont think you can go wrong with either. I immensley loved the crew at Caicos Adventures and Fifi to be great!

I prefer Dive Provo - far less divers on the boat and more varied destinations.....

I'll add Flamingo Divers to the mix. I've used Dive Provo, but between the two I preferred Flamingo. Flamingo will also get out to West Caicos and max out at 8 divers if I remember correctly.

Dive Provo was a bigger boat, more divers, but still was a good experience.

ive used Caicos Adventures for a "Dream Day Getaway" snorkelling trip which was excellent, but I did not use them for diving.

If I were to return to Provo, I would strongly consider one of the liveaboards and avoid most of the travel time altogether. That being said, Caicos Adventures is a great dive operation. The boat is big, stable and fast out to the best dive sites off West Caicos and French Cay. They will handle your gear for the week and nitrox is available with on board testing. They put one or more divemasters in the water but you are free to dive with them or independently. My son and I rarely encountered other divers until we were back at the boat. Dives are limited only by air or NDL. The deep walls are very nice, some as good as the North Wall of Grand Cayman. The treat is the plethora of Reef Sharks on nearly every dive. Some of the encounters were of prolonged duration such as we had at Boat Cove off West Caicos YouTube - Old Shark and Big Shark They offer a great 3 tank dive once a week that is very leisurely, has a good deli lunch, and has a smaller number of more experienced divers. I would use Caicos Adventutes as my land based operator.

Good diving, Craig

Did 5days straight with Dive Provo and liked it. Had a great crew and everything ran like clockwork even though it was over the New Years week.

Personally Provo's dive sites are too far away. Doing Grand Turk this year for 2weeks. Sites are only 5-10 minutes away! Diving in Provo killed the day. Got back around 3-4pm.
