Protective cover sleeves on the dive lights?

Our customer Amine shared his DIY protective cover for xtar D26 dive light, as showed in photos below. He told in Algeria many spearo use the protective cover sleeves on the lights, in order not to make noise during spearfishing when the dive light hit rocks. Besides, the cover sleeves can also protect the dive light from scratching...

How often are your dive-lights hitting rocks?

DIY would probably be the way to go. That just looks like some sort of stretchy tubular shaped material. My first guesses on places to look for something like that would be in the context of fitness, such as making weight-bars or bike-handles more comfortable. You could also look at child-protection, reducing potential injury when running into objects.

You can buy neoprene by the yard at fabric stores (or online) though it's somewhat of a challenging fabric to work with.
