Do the docs proplugs actually aid in equalizing or not? I have read on these and cant seem to get a clear answer. Has anyone used them for equalizing problems and did it work??

They are helpful only in that you are initially only equalizing against air in the outer ear canal during the first few meters (but that is the most critical period). If you have eustachian tubes that are swollen and not patent then, no, not much help then. But it is nice not to have cold water next to the ear drum (the water next to the eardrum stays body temp).
