Problems with newer light canons

I am using the same batteries, 4500mA, my C8 eLED lasts 10-15 dives per charge!

Yes, it is the shape of the battery contacts. The LC is not the only light that has trouble with Energizer brand for this reason.

No... it's not the shape of the contacts... I found this on a another post on this board -and it works as I have tried it myself:

You can scrape the coating of the ends off the energizers using a pen knife (I used a wire brush) and they work fine.
