Problems with my Zeagle Octo Plus

I have an oct plus and the person I brought it from did not take care of it. it was fine during the dive and I decided to test it at about 5ft and after the first breath it free flowed and would not stop. The valve is loaded with salt. Can I buy a new valve or do I have to send it off to be serviced? I took it apart (I was tought a long time ago) and scrubbed the white crud off. I just want to order the piece so I can get back on the water asap. There are no Zeagle reps anywhere around here.

Please let me know, any info is better then none.

Well it works now but I think I would like new parts anyways.

You can send it to a dealer for repair/service...if they still have the parts. Those units were made by Apeks, and parts are getting harder and harder to come by...unlike the Octo-Z which is actually made by Zeagle.

Check with zeagleexpress .com or ScuabToys .com and see if they can help you out, since you don't have a local dealer.

Thanks for the info. I cleaned it and got the Octo-z to work well, however now the power inflator failed. I will try your sources.
