Hi all

there is a small amount of water on the inside of the case, around all of the screws of the rubber padding (where the view finder is). I do not understand how the water has got there or where it gone in from, has anyone had this problem before and could advise? Unfortunately i am in Asia at the moment and the canon centre said they would not be able to fix without the waranty card (i forgot to bring it with me).

Is there a way to fix leakage problems safely i.e can still use the case without chance of damage to the camera underwater? I know this affects the warranty but i have none at the moment and the cheapest i have found a replacement case for, is shipped from USA for ޣ190!

Try bringing it down to depth without a camera in it.
I'm not sure from your description if you have already done this or are just wondering about some general moisture in the case.

If you seal the case with very humid hot air in it and then it cools down (like during a dive) you could get condensation.
Try closing the case in a dry air conditioned room and then take it down with you (without camera) to see if you get any leakage or condensation.

yeah it was just condensation. It seems to be fine now, i followed your suggestion. I have also put inside the case a silica bag which was also recommended for keeping out the moisture.

thank you.
