I have enjoyed shopping at the Hampton Dive Center (Riverhead, NY) for several years.
I recently had my regulators rebuilt there.
I was practically poisoned when they left solvent of some kind in one of them when I went to use it on a trip to Honduras.
Then I find from another diver that they had problems with service there as well.
My email to them was left unanswered.

Has anyone else had a problem with this shop?

Interesting introduction post...
Check in The New York Divers forum. They would probably have better knowledge...

I have never shopped/done business there as I am too far away. But I do know Randy from being in the industry.I have always found him to be honest and upfront about everything. If there is an issue and you would like me to pursue it, PM me and I'll give Randy a call and see what the explanation could be..As to the solvent, I am sure it is non toxic and a simple rinse in fresh water would cure problem, but I would tell Randy displeasing you.Did you check regulator at the store upon picking it up? We have customers place regulator that was recently rebuilt on a tank to check before leaving, just to make sure they are happy with the results.
