Problem With Ds161 Strobes Firing Constantly At Depth

Hey everyone,

I'm having some problems with my ds161 strobes. Out of water and near surface, both strobes fire properly. At depth, one of the strobes fires constantly. No obvious corrosion on sync cord. Nor any problems with strobes on my first 20 dives of this trip.

Is this likely a problem with dual sync cord? Or batteries? I have not had the housing services (heard someone else mention a problem with inconsistent firing after having housing services).

Trouble shooting is difficult because I'm currently on vacation in Bali and I hate wasting a bunch of dives trying to get it working properly. So frustrating.

Sounds like sync cord has a short probably caused by water ..try different cord, or shut off strobe that is firing and shoot with one strobe

Obtain and use contact cleaner on the connectors.
