Not the SMB itself but the bag it comes in...

Two out of the last 4 dives the SMB has came out of the bag. Has anyone else had this problem? The velcro appears to be very weak and comes undone in the water. I'm thinking about replacing the velcro with 3M heavy duty velcro, any other ideas? It's secured onto the back of my BP with quick links.

No one else has had this problem or no one owns this SMB? lol...

It's at the shop now getting some 3M heavy duty dual lock sewn in. I'll post up after this weekend and rate it.

I was about to buy one last week, but didn't. I'm curious how the modification works out.

Sorry guys I forgot about this thread, still didn't work. Almost lost it again on the first dive with the heavy duty velcro in the quarry. I ended up ditching the pocket and the SMB is in my thigh pocket

Doc, I chose to ditch mine the day I unpacked it. Instead I have a cpl loops of bungee tied to my plate which loops around the bag when rolled up. Its easy to deploy and stays out of the way.

May not be everyones cup of tea, but it works for me.

Ken

***Edit*** My bad for not seeing this as a SMB. I use a lift bag, so not sure it would work. Would be worth a try though.
