I'm replacing my current inflator with the Zeagle BX inflator and ran across a small problem. After tightening the two cable ties as tightly as I can get them, the inflator still rotates inside the corrugated hose. It appears to hold air just fine, but I'd like to be able to "lock" the inflator in position so it won't rotate.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

I have basically the same connector, an Atomic SS1. I just checked the connection on mine and the SS1 swivels on the barrel of the connector. I am guessing that the connector is not rotating in the hose but rather the female part of the connector and the BX inflator are rotating on the barrel of the connector that is attached to the hose.

Mine does not rotate freely but it will rotate if I turn it. I have never had a problem with it being turned when diving.

Thanks. You are correct. It is rotating inside the female part that is attached to the hose. I called up Zeagle Express, where I purchased it, and they verified that it is working as designed. It is supposed to rotate.

...I bought one of those BX ones a while back, but never actually deployed it, so now it sits in my ever expanding box of spares/parts. (I just decided I didn't want my inflator assembly to be that easy to unscrew, thinking it might work loose at a bad time.... :-)
....but you're right, I just fished it back out of my spares kit and it has the same problem you describe...and it would be nice if it could be 'locked down' into position and not spin so easily...but I don't see how to do that either....however, once you have your BC LP hose hooked up to it, it will move a lot less....so maybe it really isn't too much of an issue after all ?

My BX inflator can rotate on the corrugated hose, but it's NEVER been an issue (in more than 100 dives).
