Pro Plus 2 H2O flashes in display

My Pro Plus 2 will not stop flashing H2O even though I have cleaned the pds with fresh water,dried it off and let it set for a few days. I have tried to reset it but with no luck. Would removing the battery do any good? As far as I can tell it does not hinder the use of the computer but would like to correct the problem if possible.

The computer in no longer under warranty.

I would guess that the contacts (3 pins on the side, and/or the small metal section in the center of the operating buttons) are corroded. Trying cleaning these with a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water - and then let them dry of course. If that does not correct the problem - give our customer service guys a call at 800-435-3483 or service@oceanicusa.com.
