Private Instructor Ft Myers/Cape Coral

I've got a buddy who's 15 year old son is in town for the summer and dad would like to get him certified, but wants do be able to do the CO dives locally without having to travel to the E coast, Keys, etc. with a local LDS...anybody got the names of a private instructor that you recommend?

My daughter had her certification classes with Ron at Sun-Sea Diving in Punta Gorda. He has a very "student friendly" schedule and is flexible with the location of dives. I was happy with the instruction. (As a dad, I was glad to be there for all the pool and check out dives. I kept my distance and didn't get in the way, but was welcome to attend and watch).

If you're coming up this way, I can recommend at Fantasea (www.fantaseascuba.com): Jim Joseph (owner and one of the most competant divers I've known), Matthew Rescher (My instructor) or Matt Wise. Or at Depthfinders (www.depthfinders.com), I can recommend Terry (owner, and the instructor for our dive team).

Cbulla works with a dive shop out of Cape Coral. You may want to pm him, he may have more information in the Ft. Myers area.

Nope - no other suggestions. If Walter is busy, your friend should wait a couple of weeks until he becomes available. He's that good. You won't find a better instructor.
