Thought I remember reading about a private sailboat or similar that runs between Roatan, Utila, and Guananja, but I cannot. Rem to locate the info again. Can anyone help with contact info, price, and experience with this option?

TIA

There's Vern's catamaran. He runs between the West End and Utila. I don't know if he goes to Guanaja. Ferry between Roatan & Utila, The Bay Islands, Honduras, daily with Capt Vern on the Nina Elisabeth II Catamaran

You can also take two ferries between Roatan and Utila twice daily, the Galaxy from Roatan to La Ceiba (mainland) and the Princess from La Ceiba to Utila. Their docks are next to each other and their schedules match. We did it last year you can leave Roatan at 2PM and be on Utila by 5PM. The morning return puts you on Roatan by noon if you're on the Sat. CO flight.

Yeah, Vern does the trip between Utila & Roatan (and back) almost daily. Not Guanaja. I believe he charges $55 for the one way trip (the same as the ferries would cost).

If you are traveling from Roatan to Utila Vern will drop you at the dive center you are staying with as you arrive.

I'm interested in taking a week long dive immersion trip. Utila seems like a great spot.

Making it to/from Roatan is not too difficult or expensive but that last leg to Utila seems both time consuming and/or expensive. :(
