Just received word that Prima will reopen on Av. 10 between Calle 2 & 4. Opening is this Sat. Feb. 21. Hours will be 4-10PM and they are closed on Monday. I imagine the food will be similar to the old Prima.

I really liked the old Prima - when it was up on the rooftop terrace one block South of the Plaza at Ave. 5. Climbing that winding stairway to get up there could be an adventure, and if you had a few too many cocktails with dinner, climbing back down could be a real sobriety test. But I loved the Amazing Blue Cheese Salad, and the Shrimp Scampi with Linguini was never disappointing. When it moved to the top of the El Cantil Condos, it became overpriced for Cozumel; yeah, the ambiance and view were great, but IMO, not worth the prices. La Terraza was good, but not really the same as the old Prima. It would be nice to see Prima return to its roots - maybe without the spiral staircase ride.

Isn't that the property next to the "Laser Pack" business? I always enjoyed the original location better than the Tower.
