Since there seem to be a few other people besides me who have had this problem, I would like to offer this solution.

 
I never saw that as a big problem. I like my webbing with a bit of wear to make it more supple.
 
Oh boy, this guy with yet another video on what NOT to do.

And what’s with that wing bungeed through the plate? I’d like to see the video on what “problem” that is “solving”
And the worst part is this guy is apparently a "Trimix Instructor". Yikes. I feel sorry for his students.

I agree....not your cup of tea but so what....he has produced a lot of videos and some are good....

Besides you know the expression: "Don't mess with Texas!" :cool:

I’m not disagreeing with your statement, in general terms.
But do realize the difference between someone doing something for themselves and someone teaching others what to do, specially from the position he sits on, a trimix instructor, his channel is full of this sheet and some are dangerous suggestions going the opposite direction the industry has already evolved from.
