I'm looking for a backup pressure gauge for my D6i. Not looking for anything fancy, but something reliable. I've been told that it's a good idea to have one in both psi and bar since I am international for a while. Think it's necessary? Anybody have recommendations?

simple brass gauge with temper glass face, with appropriate length HP hose. Most gauge of this type are made in the same manufacture but brand differently, so brand doesn't matter.

Here is one with good price. 2" Tech SPG - Dive Right in Scuba

OMS use to make SPG's w/both Bar/PSI scales....Try Northeastscubasupply.com or ask at Cave Diver's Forum.......There's still a few floating around........

I wouldn't worry about overspending on a dual scale SPG if it works out too much more expensive than the standard one scale. We work in bar and frequently have divers bring their own regs with psi gauges. Its absolutely no problem. As long as your dive guide/buddies are familiar with your configuration, and you agree on clear hand signals for communicating air supply during the dive- and what your 'low on air' cut off will be, you shouldn't have any problems.

That's what I was initially thinking but thought there may be something to it, which is why I posed the question here. Still haven't bought anything yet but I think I've got enough to go by with the links that were sent to me.
