That's a crazy law.In Australia, we have to hydro yearly!
It's an expensive exercise when you have multiple tanks and thankfully it's not all at once.

Certainly is considering pretty much everywhere else on the planet does 5 year hydros.That's a crazy law.
Oldest one I've visually inspected was a steel cylinder born in 1962!I filled two steel tanks last week that were made in the 1970s....current hydro stamp.
One dive shop here won't fill any aluminium cylinder older than '88, even if its not 6351.So far, I've only encountered one place that refused to fill a 6351.
