i have never been to mexico before and im in putting the final touches with one of the dive centers for some cave course.

i might have to spend about 2 weeks in Playa del Carmen.

Questions is, since i will be spending most of my time in the training course, how much pocket money should i dadicate for the 2 weeks that i will be spending there ?

thankx

Contact Erik Rosenstein at Beyond Diving. He will give you the best training/experience you can get in Playa Del Carmen. I have trained/dived with Erik many times as have my two sons. He will answer all your questions and give you all the information you need to succeed in your training.

It really depends on which part of PDC you will be spending your money. If you stick to 5th/10th Ave., then BLD will run you around $35 a day. Personally, I like to eat more like the locals and you can cut that to $20 a day while eating like a king. Try eating at places along 30ave (?) (around the Walmart and Mega). We like El Fogon at 30 and Constituentes. Talk with your instructor/s and they will point you in the right direction.

One of the best things about PDC are the Lavanderias. Essentially a wash and fold service that are very reasonable. We always hit one right before we leave and come home with clean clothes.
